Letting go and what it showed me – By Alison Banks
I have just been through a period where it became obvious that I was holding on in my life. I knew I needed to let go because I was holding onto people and the way things were. If there is one thing we all know it is that life changes and holding on makes change impossible and very painful. In our most challenging times if we can do our best to not resist change then there will be flow, which will bring the next chapter and the happiness and ease back.
What I saw from this letting go was the levels of sacrifice I was in. For me it has been like blinkers coming off. I got the chance to assess what I want for me. A girlfriend had said to me we are in our “glory days”. That was not how it felt before I fell into this process. Now I feel free and I am looking forward to getting older disgracefully….well, having fun anyway!!!
Where are you holding on in your life OR where would you like change?
Let go. It is scary. You step off a mountaintop and you don’t know what it will look like when you land. But something new will turn up, and the relationship or the situation will always be better on the other side of letting go.
If you want your hand held then remember you have a team of friends in your UK team. Anyone of us has experience of this process and will be there for you.
